What Is the Morse Code Audio Decoder?
This decoder converts an audio file of Morse code signals into readable Morse code (dots and dashes) and text. You can use it to check you've understood a message correctly or decode messages and easter eggs in online games.
How to Use the Morse Code Audio Decoder
- Decode your audio: Drag and drop a WAV file into the upload area, or click to browse device files. The decoder will show the Morse code and decoded text. A "#" symbol shows any characters that can't be translated.
- Hear the audio: Use the play icons to play the WAV file or the audio translation.
- Use the output: Use the copy icons to copy the Morse code or text to the clipboard.

Recommended formats:

This decoder uses the Web Audio API to analyze the WAV file, which means it runs completely privately in your browser. It works best with clean, synthesized WAV files like files generated by our Morse code translator.
Troubleshooting
Why did my upload fail?
Check for a broken file or incorrect file type. For non-WAV formats, convert to WAV first using an online tool.
Why is the decoding wrong or blank?
The audio signal may be too fast or noisy. Try recording a clean WAV file using a digital Morse code generator and the settings recommended above.
